A conversion is estimated on its own, separate from a full remodel. The existing tub and walls, plumbing changes, tile, glass and any repairs affect the price.

What the conversion

The tub comes out, the drain and valve are adapted, and the new wet area is waterproofed before tile and glass.

Can you replace a bathtub with a walk-in shower?
Yes. A tub-to-shower conversion is estimated as a shower project of its own. The existing tub and walls, whether the drain or valve moves, the tile and the glass shape the scope. Tell us whether another bathtub remains in the home.
Does the full-remodel price range apply to a shower only?
No. A shower remodel starts at $6,000 and a tub-to-shower conversion at $7,000, each estimated for its own scope. Tell us about the existing shower or tub, the changes you want and whether other parts of the bathroom are involved.
